Sorry.

There was a penguin driving his car down a desert road.

It was a really hot day, and his car is really a really old convertible. Up ahead he saw a small town.

All of a sudden, his hood burst open and oil shot into the air.

He pulled it into the first mechanic he saw in the town and cleaned himself off. The mechanic told him it could be a little while, so he waddled across the street to the ice-cream stand.

He got a dish of vanilla ice-cream, and since he had no arms, just flippers, he had to fling it towards his mouth. Well, after he finished his ice-cream, and was covered with vanilla ice-cream, he waddled across the street back to the mechanic.

The mechanic was looking at the engine and said, “Well, it looks like you blew a seal.”

The penguin says, “I did NOT! It’s just ice-cream!”

Slow day

Ho-hum, its my day off of work, and I’m just layin around. I was supposed to get some stuff done today, and I *did* try to do it…. but none of it seemed quite doable.

Went to Wells Fargo to close my account. But it turns out there’s still transactions going through… “shouldn’t close it for another 3-5 days at least” Hmmmph.

Go to Palomar to go shopping for books…. only I’m not sure if I’m actually *in* my english class or not (I’m on the crash list) they were sold out of my CS class’ book, and I couldn’t figure out which Calc book I need. Go to get my Parking Permit… it costs more than I brought with me, and I don’t want to use my debit card cuz that will just prolong the amount of time before I can close the account.

Go to WaMu to open a new account. Hazzah! Managed that one ok. Too bad I can’t put more than $100 in at a time without them putting a 9 day hold on it (but only for the first month).

Then I went and rewarded my… ehh… ‘efforts’ with a Tazzoberry from Starbucks (thank you again, Amber) then I came Home.

So whats left of today? Well, I plan on installing Linux, swapping my CD-burner from my old comp to my new one and putting the CD-ROM in the new one into the old one, and copying all my files, music, etc from the old harddrive to the new one. Although I think the old hard drive is better. See, they’re both 80 gig, but the old one is a Western Digi and the new one is a Maxtor.

I’m partial to Western Digi as it is, but that drive also has a 8 MB on disk cache, as opposed to the Maxtor’s 2 MB. So it should be a bit faster.

So I guess I’ll end up reinstalling everything on the old one, and copying stuff from the new one over.

Not that it was terribly important for me to go into all that detail.

New page!

I’m Still Alive!

Yes, thats me, still living in the void. No Internet, no cable… not even phone! So for those of you wondering (or maybe not wondering…) I’m still around, just a tad bit further north than normal.

The apartment is looking great, even though not everything is unpacked yet… it already feels like… Home. A strange thing, that. Almost as strange as using a keyboard again.

Life feels different. It feels fresh. It’s like a new shirt, or a hot shower. Like all of my problems are in the past. Well, maybe not all of them… but like so many of them are so much smaller now. Everything up here just seems so much more rich. So full. There’s very few things that Mollie and I can find that we don’t like – far fewer than even I thought I would find.

This weekend, people should come visit us. Amber will be here on Sunday, but I have Saturday off, so people should try to come then, too.

If you need to get ahold of myself or Mollie, the only way currently is to call her Cell – which I won’t stay on for long because it gets bad reception and it eats up her minutes. But at least we can talk. I won’t post it on here, but you can get it from Tres if you need it. And if you know someone is trying to get ahold of one of us, please give them the number.

Anyways, I have to go sign up for my classes at Palomar now (I’m at CSUSM in their library), but I’ll try to come back and add more possibly tomorrow or the next day. I can’t wait to tell you about the 1337 Check of Doom.

Happy Fscking New Year

Well, I decided a long time ago that I wouldn’t do another entry until the new year.

But I’m not quite ready yet. Today we move in to the new apartment you see. Big Step. So I won’t have internet for a while. Few days perhaps. Same thing with a phoneline. Mollie has her cell, thats about it – if you don’t have it, some people do, ask them.

You should try to come see the new place.

Anyways, gotta load up the boxes.

SD, its been fun.

I love you all, even if I haven’t said it lately.
